Description
A twist on traditional tacos, using crispy flatbread instead of shells and topped with a dollop of sour cream
Ingredients
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup lettuce
- 0.5 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 0.5 cups water
- 1 medium onion
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1.5 cups flour
Instructions
- Step 1: Combine warm water and yeast in a bowl, let it sit for 5 minutes
- Step 2: Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the bowl and mix until a dough forms
- Step 3: Knead the dough for 5 minutes and let it rest for 1 hour
- Step 4: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
- Step 5: Roll out the dough into 4-6 flatbreads and bake for 12-15 minutes
- Step 6: In a pan, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into small pieces
- Step 7: Add diced onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent
- Step 8: Add taco seasoning to the pan and stir to combine
- Step 9: Assemble the flatbread tacos by spreading a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each flatbread, followed by shredded cheese, lettuce, and diced tomatoes
- Step 10: Top each taco with a dollop of sour cream
