Description

A twist on traditional tacos, using crispy flatbread instead of shells and topped with a dollop of sour cream

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 cups water
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1.5 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Combine warm water and yeast in a bowl, let it sit for 5 minutes
  2. Step 2: Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the bowl and mix until a dough forms
  3. Step 3: Knead the dough for 5 minutes and let it rest for 1 hour
  4. Step 4: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
  5. Step 5: Roll out the dough into 4-6 flatbreads and bake for 12-15 minutes
  6. Step 6: In a pan, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into small pieces
  7. Step 7: Add diced onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent
  8. Step 8: Add taco seasoning to the pan and stir to combine
  9. Step 9: Assemble the flatbread tacos by spreading a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each flatbread, followed by shredded cheese, lettuce, and diced tomatoes
  10. Step 10: Top each taco with a dollop of sour cream
