Description
A rich and creamy pizza loaded with four types of cheese
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 0.5 cups water
- 1 tsp basil
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.25 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 tsp oregano
- 0.5 cup gorgonzola cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes
- Step 3: Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms
- Step 4: Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth
- Step 5: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour
- Step 6: Punch down the dough and roll it out into a circle or rectangle shape
- Step 7: Transfer the dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet
- Step 8: Spread the ricotta cheese over the dough, leaving a 1/2 inch border
- Step 9: Top with mozzarella, parmesan, and gorgonzola cheese
- Step 10: Sprinkle oregano and basil over the cheese
- Step 11: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted
