Description
Soft and chewy sugar cookies with a sweet frosted topping
Ingredients
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup butter
- 0.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 0.75 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Step 3: In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Step 4: Beat in egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Step 5: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Step 6: Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving 2 inches of space between each cookie.

- Step 9: To make the frosting, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
