Description

Tender roast beef infused with aromatic garlic and herbs

Ingredients

  • 3.5 lbs beef prime rib roast
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C)
  2. Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper
  3. Step 3: Rub the mixture all over the beef roast, making sure to coat evenly
  4. Step 4: Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat
  5. Step 5: Sear the beef roast for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned
  6. Step 6: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 20 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare
  7. Step 7: Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing
