Ingredients

  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 0.25 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup parsley
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4 cloves garlic

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Step 3: Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Transfer shrimp to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
  4. Step 4: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add lemon juice, white wine, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce has slightly reduced.
  5. Step 5: Stir in parsley and cook for an additional minute.
  6. Step 6: Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic butter sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
  7. Step 7: Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to combine with the spaghetti and sauce.
