Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cup short-grain white rice
- 1 sheet gim
- 0.5 cup cucumber
- 0.25 cup spinach
- 0.5 cup zucchini
- 0.5 cup carrots
- 1 egg
- 0.5 cup water
- 0.25 cup ham
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Rinse the rice thoroughly and cook according to the package instructions with 1/2 cup of water and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Step 2: Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the diced carrots, zucchini, and cucumber until tender.
- Step 3: Add the diced ham and spinach to the pan and stir-fry until the spinach is wilted.
- Step 4: In a separate pan, scramble the beaten egg and set aside.
- Step 5: To assemble the gimbap, lay a sheet of gim flat and spread a thin layer of cooked rice onto the seaweed, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
- Step 6: Add the vegetable and ham mixture, scrambled egg, and a sprinkle of salt in the middle of the rice.
- Step 7: Roll the gimbap tightly but gently, applying even pressure to form a compact roll.
- Step 8: Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients to make more gimbap rolls.
- Step 9: Slice the gimbap into 1-inch thick rounds and serve.
