Description
A classic fast food-style breakfast platter featuring scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and pancakes
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 lb pork sausage
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Maple syrup
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should still be slightly lumpy.
- Step 2: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Drop batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto the skillet or griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges start to dry. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
- Step 3: In a large skillet, cook sausage patties over medium-high heat, until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side.
- Step 4: In a separate skillet, cook bacon slices over medium heat, until crispy and golden brown, about 6-8 minutes per side.
- Step 5: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and a pinch of salt. Scramble eggs in a non-stick skillet over medium heat, until cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Step 6: To assemble the platter, place 2 pancakes on a plate, followed by 2 sausage patties, 2-3 slices of bacon, and a scoop of scrambled eggs. Serve with maple syrup on the side.
