Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup Gruyère cheese
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup ham
  • 0.5 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons yeast

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir to dissolve yeast, then let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Step 3: Add softened butter and mix until dough comes together in a ball.
  4. Step 4: Knead dough for 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  5. Step 5: Roll out dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch.
