Description
A flavorful submarine sandwich filled with Italian herbs, salami, ham, and melted mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients
- 6 slices ham
- 6 slices pepperoni
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 0.25 cup parsley
- 2 cloves garlic
- Salt and pepper
- 1 12-inch Italian sub roll
- 0.25 cup giardiniera
- 6 slices salami
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Step 2: Slice the sub roll in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.
- Step 3: In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic, oregano, and basil. Brush the mixture evenly onto the cut side of the sub roll.
- Step 4: Arrange the salami, ham, and pepperoni slices on the bottom half of the sub roll.
- Step 5: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the meats.
- Step 6: Top with the top half of the sub roll.
- Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
- Step 8: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley and giardiniera.
- Step 9: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
