Description
Tender veal scallopine cooked in a rich Marsala wine and lemon sauce
Ingredients
- 0.5 pounds veal scallopine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup Marsala wine
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 lemons
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Season the veal with salt, pepper, and thyme
- Step 2: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Step 3: Add the veal and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side
- Step 4: Remove the veal from the skillet and set aside
- Step 5: Reduce heat to medium and add the garlic, cook for 1 minute
- Step 6: Add the Marsala wine, chicken broth, and lemon juice to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits
- Step 7: Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook until reduced by half, about 5 minutes
- Step 8: Add the butter to the skillet and stir until melted
- Step 9: Return the veal to the skillet and cook until coated in the sauce
- Step 10: Serve the veal with sliced lemons on top
