Ingredients

  • 1 cup tomatoes
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 16 oz tortilla chips
  • 0.25 cup cilantro
  • 1 container sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  3. Step 3: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
  4. Step 4: Add the taco seasoning to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Arrange the tortilla chips in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  6. Step 6: Spoon the seasoned ground beef over the tortilla chips.
  7. Step 7: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the top of the beef.
  8. Step 8: Bake the nachos in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
