Description
A classic nacho dish loaded with seasoned ground beef, refried beans, cheese, and toppings
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 0.5 cup Monterey Jack cheese
- Salt and pepper
- 0.25 cup cilantro
- 0.25 cup red onion
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp cumin
- 0.5 cup sour cream
- 0.5 cup refried beans
- 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
- 12 corn tortilla chips
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
- Step 2: Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until browned, about 5-7 minutes
- Step 3: Stir in cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper; cook 1 minute
- Step 4: Stir in diced tomatoes with green chilies and cook 2-3 minutes
- Step 5: Spread refried beans on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish
- Step 6: Arrange half of the tortilla chips on top of the beans
- Step 7: Spoon the ground beef mixture over the tortilla chips
- Step 8: Sprinkle with half of the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
- Step 9: Repeat the layers, starting with the tortilla chips, then the remaining ground beef mixture, and finally the remaining cheese
- Step 10: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly
- Step 11: Top with chopped red onion, cilantro, and a dollop of sour cream
