Description
A rich and decadent French-inspired dish featuring lobster tail in a creamy mustard sauce
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup heavy cream
- 4 6 oz lobster tails
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup fish stock
- 0.25 cup Gruyère cheese
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 0.5 cup flour
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
- Step 2: Butter the lobster tails and season with salt, pepper, and paprika
- Step 3: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat
- Step 4: Add flour and whisk to make a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes
- Step 5: Gradually add white wine and fish stock, whisking continuously
- Step 6: Bring to a simmer and cook until reduced by half
- Step 7: Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and garlic
- Step 8: Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes
- Step 9: Arrange lobster tails in a baking dish and spoon the sauce over them
- Step 10: Top each tail with Gruyère cheese
- Step 11: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lobster is cooked through and golden brown
