Description

A rich and decadent French-inspired dish featuring lobster tail in a creamy mustard sauce

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 4 6 oz lobster tails
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup fish stock
  • 0.25 cup Gruyère cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
  2. Step 2: Butter the lobster tails and season with salt, pepper, and paprika
  3. Step 3: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat
  4. Step 4: Add flour and whisk to make a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes
  5. Step 5: Gradually add white wine and fish stock, whisking continuously
  6. Step 6: Bring to a simmer and cook until reduced by half
  7. Step 7: Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and garlic
  8. Step 8: Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes
  9. Step 9: Arrange lobster tails in a baking dish and spoon the sauce over them
  10. Step 10: Top each tail with Gruyère cheese
  11. Step 11: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lobster is cooked through and golden brown
