A classic Southern-style boil infused with the distinctive flavor of Old Bay Seasoning

Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage
  • 1 cup Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 lemons
  • 4 ears corn
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 lbs red potatoes
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 lb shrimp

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Fill a large pot with enough water to cover all the ingredients and bring to a boil
  2. Step 2: Add Old Bay Seasoning, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the boiling water and stir to combine
  3. Step 3: Carefully add the sliced sausage to the pot and cook for 5 minutes
  4. Step 4: Add the halved potatoes, sliced onion, and minced garlic to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes
  5. Step 5: Add the shell-on shrimp and corn to the pot and cook until the shrimp are pink and the corn is tender, about 5-7 minutes
  6. Step 6: Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes
  7. Step 7: Serve the Low Country Boil hot, with sliced lemons on the side
