Description
A classic Southern-style boil infused with the distinctive flavor of Old Bay Seasoning
Ingredients
- 1 lb smoked sausage
- 1 cup Old Bay Seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 large onion
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 4 lemons
- 4 ears corn
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 lbs red potatoes
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 lb shrimp
Instructions
- Step 1: Fill a large pot with enough water to cover all the ingredients and bring to a boil
- Step 2: Add Old Bay Seasoning, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the boiling water and stir to combine
- Step 3: Carefully add the sliced sausage to the pot and cook for 5 minutes
- Step 4: Add the halved potatoes, sliced onion, and minced garlic to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes
- Step 5: Add the shell-on shrimp and corn to the pot and cook until the shrimp are pink and the corn is tender, about 5-7 minutes
- Step 6: Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes
- Step 7: Serve the Low Country Boil hot, with sliced lemons on the side
