Description
Pan-seared halibut fillet crusted with a mixture of macadamia nuts, parmesan cheese, and herbs, served with a tangy lemon butter sauce
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 cup macadamia nuts
- 2 tbsp parsley
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 2 lemons
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 fillets halibut
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
- Step 2: In a food processor, grind macadamia nuts until coarsely chopped
- Step 3: In a bowl, mix together ground nuts, parmesan cheese, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper
- Step 4: Brush halibut fillets with lemon juice and coat with nut mixture, pressing gently to adhere
- Step 5: Heat 2 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear halibut fillets for 2-3 minutes on each side
- Step 6: Transfer skillet to preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through
- Step 7: While fish is baking, melt remaining 2 tbsp of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir in lemon juice
- Step 8: Serve halibut fillets with lemon butter sauce spooned over the top
