Description

Pan-seared halibut fillet crusted with a mixture of macadamia nuts, parmesan cheese, and herbs, served with a tangy lemon butter sauce

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 lemons
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 fillets halibut

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
  2. Step 2: In a food processor, grind macadamia nuts until coarsely chopped
  3. Step 3: In a bowl, mix together ground nuts, parmesan cheese, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper
  4. Step 4: Brush halibut fillets with lemon juice and coat with nut mixture, pressing gently to adhere
  5. Step 5: Heat 2 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear halibut fillets for 2-3 minutes on each side
  6. Step 6: Transfer skillet to preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through
  7. Step 7: While fish is baking, melt remaining 2 tbsp of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir in lemon juice
  8. Step 8: Serve halibut fillets with lemon butter sauce spooned over the top
