Description
Classic American meatloaf made with ground beef, pork, and a sweet and tangy ketchup glaze
Ingredients
- 0.5 lb ground pork
- 1 onion
- 1 egg
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 0.5 cup ketchup
- 2 cloves garlic
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 lb ground beef
- 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well with your hands until just combined
- Step 3: Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan or shape into a loaf shape on a baking sheet
- Step 4: In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and brown sugar. Brush the mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf
- Step 5: Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C)
- Step 6: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving
