Description

Classic American meatloaf made with ground beef, pork, and a sweet and tangy ketchup glaze

Ingredients

  • 0.5 lb ground pork
  • 1 onion
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well with your hands until just combined
  3. Step 3: Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan or shape into a loaf shape on a baking sheet
  4. Step 4: In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and brown sugar. Brush the mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf
  5. Step 5: Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C)
  6. Step 6: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving
