Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 slices ham
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 4 slices Challah bread
  • 4 slices turkey breast
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Step 2: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  3. Step 3: Butter one side of each bread slice.
  4. Step 4: Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  5. Step 5: Top with a slice of ham, a slice of turkey, and a slice of cheese.
  6. Step 6: Spread a layer of raspberry jam on top of the cheese.
  7. Step 7: Place another slice of bread, butter-side up, on top of the filling.
  8. Step 8: Dip the sandwich in the egg batter, coating both sides evenly.
  9. Step 9: Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  10. Step 10: Repeat with remaining ingredients.
