Description
A unique fusion of Japanese sushi and Mexican nacho cheese flavors
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup water
- 0.25 cup onion
- 1 package nori seaweed sheets
- 0.25 cup cheddar cheese
- 0.25 cup rice vinegar
- 1 jalapeño pepper
- 1 cup Japanese short-grain rice
- 0.5 cup Monterey Jack cheese
- 0.25 cup granulated sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cup tortilla chips
- 0.25 cup nacho cheese sauce
- 0.25 cup cilantro
- 0.25 cup red bell pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare sushi rice according to the recipe
- Step 2: In a pan, heat the nacho cheese sauce over low heat until melted and smooth
- Step 3: In a large bowl, combine the cooked sushi rice, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, grated cheddar cheese, chopped cilantro, diced red bell pepper, diced yellow onion, and chopped jalapeño pepper. Mix well
- Step 4: Cut the nori seaweed sheets in half lengthwise
- Step 5: Lay a nori sheet flat and spread a thin layer of the rice mixture onto the seaweed, leaving a 1-inch border at the top
- Step 6: Sprinkle crushed tortilla chips on top of the rice mixture
- Step 7: Roll the sushi using a bamboo sushi mat or a clean tea towel
- Step 8: Repeat the process until all the ingredients are used up
- Step 9: Slice the sushi rolls into 8 equal pieces each
- Step 10: Serve with melted nacho cheese sauce for dipping
