Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp ginger
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 4 6 oz ahi tuna steaks

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
  2. Step 2: In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes
  3. Step 3: Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper
  4. Step 4: Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over high heat. Sear the tuna steaks for 1-2 minutes per side, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven
