Description
Traditional Chinese dumplings filled with pork and vegetables, pan-seared to a crispy bottom and served with a dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic
- 0.5 cup cabbage
- 0.5 pound ground pork
- 0.5 cup scallions
- 0.25 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add warm water and mix until a dough forms.
- Step 2: Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Step 3: Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a small egg.
- Step 4: Roll out each ball of dough into a thin circle.
- Step 5: Place a tablespoon of pork filling in the center of each dough circle.
- Step 6: Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal the potsticker.
- Step 7: Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Step 8: When the oil is hot, add the potstickers and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Step 9: Serve the potstickers hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
