Description
A classic New York-style deli sandwich featuring tender pastrami, crunchy pickles, and creamy mustard on toasted rye bread.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pastrami
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 0.25 cup dill pickles
- 0.25 cup deli mustard
- 4 slices rye bread
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium heat.
- Step 2: Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
- Step 3: Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, on the griddle.
- Step 4: Top each slice with a layer of pastrami, a dollop of mustard, and a few slices of pickle.
- Step 5: Top with the remaining slices of bread, butter-side up.
- Step 6: Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the pastrami is heated through.
- Step 7: Carefully flip the sandwiches over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown.
- Step 8: Sprinkle with caraway seeds and serve immediately.
