Description
A classic Italian dish made with fresh basil, garlic, and parmesan, served with al dente pasta
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 8 oz pasta
- 1 cup basil leaves
- 0.5 cup pine nuts
- Salt
- 3 cloves garlic
- 0.5 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Step 2: In a food processor, combine basil, garlic, and pine nuts. Process until well combined and slightly smooth.
- Step 3: With the processor running, slowly pour in olive oil through the top.
- Step 4: Add parmesan cheese and process until well combined.
- Step 5: Season with salt to taste.
- Step 6: Drain pasta and return to pot. Add pesto sauce and toss to combine.
