Description
Classic Philly-style sandwich filled with tender steak, melted cheese, and sautéed onions on a hoagie roll
Ingredients
- 1 lb ribeye steak
- Salt and pepper
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Step 1: Slice the ribeye steak into thin strips
- Step 2: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Step 3: Add the steak to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to desired doneness
- Step 4: Transfer the steak to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm
- Step 5: Add the sliced onion to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until softened and translucent
- Step 6: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute
- Step 7: Assemble the sandwiches by placing a few slices of steak onto each hoagie roll, followed by a slice of cheese and a spoonful of sautéed onions
