Description
Pan-seared pork chops served with a sweet and tangy apple sauce
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 0.5 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 2 cups apples
- Salt and pepper
- 4 pork chops
- 1 large onion
- 3 cloves garlic
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Step 3: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side, then transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
- Step 4: In the same skillet, cook chopped onion until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Step 5: Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Step 6: Add chopped apples, apple cider vinegar, honey, and thyme to the skillet. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until apples are tender.
- Step 7: Serve pork chops with apple sauce spooned over the top.
