Description

Ingredients
- 6 slices prosciutto
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese
- 0.5 cups water
- 4 cups arugula
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup pizza sauce
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) with a pizza stone inside, if available
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let the mixture sit for 5-7 minutes, until yeast is activated
- Step 3: Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the bowl. Mix until a shaggy dough forms
- Step 4: Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic
- Step 5: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, until doubled in size
- Step 6: Punch down the dough and shape into a circle or rectangle, depending on preference
- Step 7: Transfer the dough to a piece of parchment paper or a lightly floured pizza peel, if available
- Step 8: Spread the pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges
- Step 9: Top the sauce with sliced mozzarella cheese
