Description
A classic French quiche filled with spinach, feta, and creamy eggs
Ingredients
- 1 cup feta cheese
- 0.5 cup Gruyère cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 0.5 cup heavy cream
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 9-inch pie crust
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Step 2: Roll out pie crust and place in a 9-inch tart pan
- Step 3: In a large skillet, sauté chopped spinach with 1 tablespoon of melted butter until wilted
- Step 4: In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, eggs, salt, and pepper
- Step 5: Add grated feta and Gruyère cheese to the bowl and stir to combine
- Step 6: Add cooked spinach to the bowl and stir to combine
- Step 7: Pour egg mixture into the pie crust
- Step 8: Dot the top of the quiche with remaining 1 tablespoon of melted butter
- Step 9: Bake for 35-40 minutes or until edges are golden brown and center is set
