Description

A classic sandwich filled with corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese, grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz corned beef
  • 1 cup sauerkraut
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat a griddle or skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. Step 2: Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
  3. Step 3: Place 2 slices of bread, butter-side down, on the griddle.
  4. Step 4: Top each slice with a slice of Swiss cheese, a few slices of corned beef, and a spoonful of sauerkraut.
  5. Step 5: Top with another slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Step 6: Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Step 7: Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown.
