Description

Aromatic and flavorful rice dish infused with saffron and spices

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 0.5 cup saffron threads
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat
  2. Step 2: Add onion and cook until translucent, 3-4 minutes
  3. Step 3: Add garlic, cumin, coriander, and turmeric. Cook for 1 minute
  4. Step 4: Add rice and stir to coat with oil and mix with spices
  5. Step 5: Add water and soaked saffron. Bring to a boil
  6. Step 6: Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until water is absorbed
