Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup seasoning blend
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a large bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Step 2: Pour buttermilk into a separate large bowl.
  3. Step 3: Dip each chicken wing into the buttermilk, then coat in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  4. Step 4: Heat about 2-3 inches of vegetable oil in a large pot to 350°F.
  5. Step 5: Fry the coated chicken wings in batches until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Remove wings from oil with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
