Description

Thinly sliced potato chips infused with the tangy flavor of vinegar and the crunch of sea salt

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp sea salt
  • 0.25 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 lbs potatoes

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (180°C)
  2. Step 2: Slice the potatoes into very thin rounds, using a mandoline or sharp knife
  3. Step 3: Carefully add the potato slices to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan
  4. Step 4: Fry the potato slices for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy
  5. Step 5: Remove the potato chips from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels
  6. Step 6: In a small bowl, mix together the sea salt, sugar, and vinegar
  7. Step 7: Sprinkle the sea salt and vinegar mixture evenly over the potato chips
