Description
Pan-seared tuna steak coated with a crispy sesame crust, served with a side of soy-ginger sauce
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup sesame seeds
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tsp ginger
- 4 oz tuna steaks
- 0.25 cup scallions
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: In a shallow dish, mix together sesame seeds, soy sauce, and garlic.
- Step 3: Coat each tuna steak with the sesame mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Step 4: Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Step 5: Sear the tuna steaks for 1-2 minutes on each side, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Step 6: Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the tuna reaches desired doneness.
- Step 7: While the tuna is cooking, mix together ginger and soy sauce for the sauce.
- Step 8: Serve the tuna steaks with the soy-ginger sauce spooned over the top and garnished with chopped scallions.
