Sesame Ginger Tofu Stir-fry

Description
A savory and aromatic stir-fry made with crispy tofu, fresh ginger, and sesame oil, served with steamed vegetables.
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup bell peppers
- 1 block tofu
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- Salt and pepper
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 0.5 cup carrots
- 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 inch ginger
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Step 2: Add the tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Step 3: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Step 4: Add the broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Step 5: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, and red pepper flakes. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir to coat.
- Step 6: Add the cooked tofu back into the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables and sauce.
- Step 7: Season with salt and pepper to taste, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Step 8: Serve immediately, garnished with additional sesame seeds if desired.
