Description

Classic Italian dish with succulent shrimp, garlic, and herbs, served with linguine pasta

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 0.25 cup (60ml) white wine
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 0.25 cup (60ml) lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine pasta according to package instructions until al dente
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant
  3. Step 3: Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through
  4. Step 4: Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside. Add white wine and lemon juice to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits
  5. Step 5: Return shrimp to the skillet and stir in parsley, basil, salt, and pepper
  6. Step 6: Serve shrimp scampi over cooked linguine pasta
