Description
Classic Italian dish with succulent shrimp, garlic, and herbs, served with linguine pasta
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp parsley
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 lb shrimp
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 0.25 cup (60ml) white wine
- 12 oz linguine pasta
- 0.25 cup (60ml) lemon juice
Instructions
- Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine pasta according to package instructions until al dente
- Step 2: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant
- Step 3: Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through
- Step 4: Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside. Add white wine and lemon juice to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits
- Step 5: Return shrimp to the skillet and stir in parsley, basil, salt, and pepper
- Step 6: Serve shrimp scampi over cooked linguine pasta
