Description

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until browned, about 5-7 minutes
  2. Step 2: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes
  3. Step 3: Stir in the ketchup, water, brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper
  4. Step 4: Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened, about 10-15 minutes
  5. Step 5: Split the hamburger buns in half and toast until lightly browned
