Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and sourdough starter. Mix until starter is fully dissolved.
  2. Step 2: Add bread flour, salt, and melted butter to the bowl. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Step 3: Knead the dough for 10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Step 4: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 4-5 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
  5. Step 5: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  6. Step 6: Punch down the dough and shape it into a round or oblong shape. Place the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
