Description
A traditional Spanish omelette made with potatoes, onions, and garlic
Ingredients
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 large potatoes
- 1 large onion
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat
- Step 2: Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes
- Step 3: Add the diced potatoes and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until they are tender
- Step 4: Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute
- Step 5: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and season with salt and pepper
- Step 6: Pour the egg mixture over the potato mixture in the skillet
- Step 7: Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the edges start to set
- Step 8: Use a spatula to gently lift and fold the edges of the tortilla towards the center
- Step 9: Continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes, or until the tortilla is almost set
- Step 10: Use the spatula to carefully slide the tortilla onto a plate and serve hot
