Description

A traditional Spanish omelette made with potatoes, onions, and garlic

Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 large onion

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat
  2. Step 2: Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes
  3. Step 3: Add the diced potatoes and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until they are tender
  4. Step 4: Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute
  5. Step 5: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and season with salt and pepper
  6. Step 6: Pour the egg mixture over the potato mixture in the skillet
  7. Step 7: Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the edges start to set
  8. Step 8: Use a spatula to gently lift and fold the edges of the tortilla towards the center
  9. Step 9: Continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes, or until the tortilla is almost set
  10. Step 10: Use the spatula to carefully slide the tortilla onto a plate and serve hot
