Description

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 pound chicken breasts
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pepper jack cheese
- 0.75 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 0.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 eggs
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Step 3: Add buttermilk and stir until dough comes together.
- Step 4: Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead 2-3 times until smooth.
- Step 5: Roll dough out to 1-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out rounds.
- Step 6: Place rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Step 7: While biscuits are baking, prepare chicken by whisking together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a shallow dish.
- Step 8: Dredge chicken pieces in flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Step 9: Heat 1/2-inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Step 10: In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and hot sauce. Scramble eggs in a separate skillet over medium heat until cooked through.
