Description
Crispy fried chicken breast with spicy mayo and crunchy slaw on a toasted brioche bun
Ingredients
- 4 brioche buns
- Tomato
- Pickles
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Lettuce
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups cabbage
- 4 breasts chicken
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 0.5 cup mayonnaise
- 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F
- Step 2: In a shallow dish, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper
- Step 3: Pour buttermilk into a separate shallow dish
- Step 4: Dip each chicken breast in the buttermilk, then coat in the flour mixture, shaking off excess
- Step 5: Dip the flour-coated chicken breast in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere
- Step 6: Carefully place the coated chicken breast in the hot oil and fry for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through
- Step 7: Drain the fried chicken breast on paper towels
- Step 8: Toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster
- Step 9: Spread a layer of spicy mayo on the bottom bun
- Step 10: Add a few slices of lettuce, tomato, and pickles
- Step 11: Place the fried chicken breast on top of the slaw
- Step 12: Top with the top bun
