A spicy and refreshing tuna salad sandwich with a kick of heat
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon dill
- 0.25 cup mayonnaise
- 0.5 teaspoon sriracha sauce
- 2 leaves lettuce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 0.25 cup red onion
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 2 slices tomato
- 4 slices whole wheat bread
- 1 tablespoon chives
- Salt and pepper
- 1 5 oz can tuna
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, dill, chives, ginger, and sriracha sauce. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Step 2: Season the tuna mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 3: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Step 4: Toast the bread slices until lightly browned.
- Step 5: Assemble the sandwiches by spreading a quarter of the tuna mixture on each toasted bread slice.
- Step 6: Top each sandwich with a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, and a few slices of red onion.
