Description
Flaky, buttery croissants filled with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 0.25 cup granulated sugar
- 1.5 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese
- 0.25 cup butter
- 0.5 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons yeast
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-7 minutes until frothy.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and melted butter. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Step 3: Add yeast mixture to the dough and mix until a sticky ball forms.
- Step 4: Knead the dough for 10-12 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Step 5: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Step 6: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 7: Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Cut into 6 equal triangles.
- Step 8: In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and a pinch of salt. Brush the edges of the triangles with the egg mixture.
