Description

Thick slices of brioche bread filled with a sweet cream cheese mixture, dipped in a rich egg batter, and grilled to a golden brown

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 slices brioche bread
  • Maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.25 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth
  2. Step 2: Add the granulated sugar, and beat until combined
  3. Step 3: Beat in the eggs, one at a time
  4. Step 4: Beat in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and cinnamon
  5. Step 5: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat
  6. Step 6: In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream
  7. Step 7: Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly
  8. Step 8: Place the coated bread slices on the skillet or griddle
  9. Step 9: Spread 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture on each bread slice
  10. Step 10: Fold the bread slices in half to enclose the filling
  11. Step 11: Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown
  12. Step 12: Serve warm with maple syrup
