Description
Thick slices of brioche bread filled with a sweet cream cheese mixture, dipped in a rich egg batter, and grilled to a golden brown
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 slices brioche bread
- Maple syrup
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 0.25 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth
- Step 2: Add the granulated sugar, and beat until combined
- Step 3: Beat in the eggs, one at a time
- Step 4: Beat in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and cinnamon
- Step 5: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat
- Step 6: In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream
- Step 7: Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly
- Step 8: Place the coated bread slices on the skillet or griddle
- Step 9: Spread 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture on each bread slice
- Step 10: Fold the bread slices in half to enclose the filling
- Step 11: Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown
- Step 12: Serve warm with maple syrup
