Ingredients
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese
- 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 0.25 cup parsley
- 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves garlic
- 12 mushroom caps
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Step 3: Add the garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
- Step 4: In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Step 5: Stuff each mushroom cap with the sausage mixture, dividing it evenly.
- Step 6: Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Step 7: Drizzle the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Step 8: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
