Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 0.5 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 pounds chicken wings

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan to 375°F
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper
  3. Step 3: Pour the buttermilk into a separate large bowl
  4. Step 4: Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture, shaking off excess
  5. Step 5: Dip the floured wings in the buttermilk, making sure they are fully coated
  6. Step 6: Dredge the wings in the flour mixture again, pressing the coating onto the wings to adhere
  7. Step 7: Carefully place the coated wings in the hot oil and fry for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy
  8. Step 8: In a small saucepan, combine the sweet chili sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes
  9. Step 9: Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened
