Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup cinnamon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 large sweet potatoes

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and yeast
  2. Step 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter
  3. Step 3: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms
  4. Step 4: Add the mashed sweet potatoes and mix until well combined
  5. Step 5: Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic
  6. Step 6: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour
  7. Step 7: Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F
