Description

Stir-fried beef strips with Szechuan peppercorns, chili peppers, and garlic

Ingredients

  • 500 g beef strips
  • 0.25 cup Shaoxing wine
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chili bean paste
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp Szechuan peppercorns
  • 2 scallions
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 0.25 cup peanuts
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat oil in a wok over high heat
  2. Step 2: Add beef and cook until browned, 3-4 minutes
  3. Step 3: Remove beef from wok and set aside
  4. Step 4: Add garlic, Szechuan peppercorns, and chili bean paste to wok, stir-fry for 30 seconds
  5. Step 5: Add soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and cornstarch mixture to wok, stir-fry for 1 minute
  6. Step 6: Return beef to wok and stir-fry until sauce thickens, 1-2 minutes
  7. Step 7: Stir in scallions and peanuts
  8. Step 8: Serve immediately
