Description
Stir-fried beef strips with Szechuan peppercorns, chili peppers, and garlic
Ingredients
- 500 g beef strips
- 0.25 cup Shaoxing wine
- 0.25 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp chili bean paste
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tsp Szechuan peppercorns
- 2 scallions
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 0.25 cup peanuts
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat oil in a wok over high heat
- Step 2: Add beef and cook until browned, 3-4 minutes
- Step 3: Remove beef from wok and set aside
- Step 4: Add garlic, Szechuan peppercorns, and chili bean paste to wok, stir-fry for 30 seconds
- Step 5: Add soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and cornstarch mixture to wok, stir-fry for 1 minute
- Step 6: Return beef to wok and stir-fry until sauce thickens, 1-2 minutes
- Step 7: Stir in scallions and peanuts
- Step 8: Serve immediately
