Description

Ingredients
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 cup ketchup
- 0.5 cup BBQ sauce
- cheddar cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Step 2: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Step 3: In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Step 4: Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the ground beef and onion mixture in the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Step 5: Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes, until the flavors have melded together and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Step 6: Split the hamburger buns in half and toast until lightly browned.
