Description
A flavorful and citrusy chicken dish with a sweet and tangy orange sauce
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic
- 0.25 cup orange marmalade
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 0.25 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 0.5 pounds chicken breasts
- 0.25 cup cilantro
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Step 2: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove the chicken from the marinade and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Step 3: In a small saucepan, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Step 4: Add the orange marmalade to the saucepan and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Step 5: To serve, place the cooked chicken on a plate and spoon the orange sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
