Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 cup peas and carrots
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 0.5 cup milk
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 32 oz tater tots
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1 onion
- 1 lb ground beef
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
- Step 3: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
- Step 4: Stir in the frozen peas and carrots, cream of mushroom soup, milk, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 5: Spread half of the tater tots in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Step 6: Pour the ground beef mixture over the tater tots.
- Step 7: Top with the remaining tater tots and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
