Ingredients
- 0.5 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 2 medium-hot dried Ancho Chilies
- 0.25 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 1 large Onion
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Ground Cumin
- 3 cloves Garlic
Instructions
- Step 1: Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
- Step 2: Once the beef is browned, add the diced onion and cook until it is translucent.
- Step 3: Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Step 4: Add the ancho chilies, cumin, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Step 5: Stir in the diced tomatoes and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Step 6: Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh cilantro or scallions if desired.
