Description
A Chinese-inspired dish made with a variety of colorful vegetables and savory seasonings
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
- 1 cup bell peppers
- 1 cup mixed frozen vegetables
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 cups rice
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper
- 2 green onions
- 1 small onion
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat
- Step 2: Add the diced onion and minced garlic and stir-fry until the onion is translucent
- Step 3: Add the mixed frozen vegetables and diced bell peppers, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes
- Step 4: Add the cooked rice to the skillet or wok, breaking up any clumps with a spatula
- Step 5: Stir-fry the rice with the vegetables for 2-3 minutes, until everything is well combined
- Step 6: Add the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil, and stir-fry for another minute
- Step 7: Season the rice with salt and pepper to taste
- Step 8: Transfer the vegetable fried rice to a serving platter, and garnish with chopped green onions
